Literacy to Life and Reilly Elementary

The Literacy to Life program is back for a third year thanks to the support of Impact Austin!!!
Teaching artists Josh Krilov, Pierce Purselley and Stacey Volland will be bringing fun and creativity to Reilly Elementary, a Title I school in Austin, Texas. With their help, the students of Eliza Gordon’s 3rd grade class will use creative writing, drama and storytelling to develop literacy skills and gain self-confidence. To wrap up the seven week program, professional artists from the local community will turn the students’ writing into a performance for the entire school. After some hard work and lots of fun, the students will get to see their work brought to life before their very eyes!
